Driving Atlanta in NASCAR 25

Driving Atlanta in NASCAR 25 rewards the same fundamentals as Daytona and Talladega, but the track’s character adds a layer of challenge through the corners that the longer superspeedways do not have. The banking is substantial but not dominant, which means your steering inputs actually matter more here than they do at Talladega.

Through turns 1 and 2, you want to enter the corner from as high as you comfortably can, let the car arc down through the apex, and exit toward the middle of the track. Fighting for the very bottom of the corner at Atlanta is risky when the pack is close behind you, because a car pushing from behind changes your entry angle whether you are ready for it or not. Give yourself a little room inside to absorb that push without getting tight in the corner.

The backstretch is your working zone. This is where you hook up, build momentum, and make lateral moves when you need to change lanes. Any move you make on the backstretch at Atlanta has to be committed, because you are carrying so much speed that half-measures just create confusion for everyone around you. Pick your line, move to it decisively, and hold it all the way into turn 3.

Turns 3 and 4 are where Atlanta separates itself from the other superspeedways. The exit of turn 4 feeds directly into the start-finish line, and the angle you carry out of the corner determines how much front-stretch run you get. Smooth and committed through 3 and 4 gives you the best shot at a clean pass or a strong push heading toward the flag. The official first-look footage shows just how precise the driving has to be even at this speed.

One thing that catches drivers off guard at Atlanta is how quickly the tri-oval arrives after turn 4. The front stretch is not long, and if you are still making moves when you hit the tri-oval, you are in trouble. Finish your pass before the turn 4 exit, settle in, and take the tri-oval cleanly at whatever speed the pack gives you.
