NASCAR 26 Oct 7 Patch Fixes Multiplayer Soft Lock, Teases DLC
Another patch is live for NASCAR 26. The October 7 update rolled out across Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam, and while the headline fix is a multiplayer soft lock, there’s a quiet teaser buried in the notes that has us curious.
Here’s what the patch does:
- Multiplayer soft lock fix: A potential soft lock bug in multiplayer has been squashed. If you’ve been bitten by this one mid-session, you know how annoying it was.
- DLC support added: The patch adds backend support for an upcoming DLC release. No details on what the DLC actually is yet, but the groundwork is laid.
That’s the full list from the official notes, which keeps things short and sweet. The DLC mention is the interesting part. iRacing Studios hasn’t said a word about what’s coming, so this is our first real signal that post-launch content is on the way.
If you’re tracking NASCAR 26’s post-launch support, this is the third patch in about two weeks, following the September 28 and October 2 updates. The cadence is solid, and the team is clearly staying on top of stability issues while prepping whatever’s next.
We’ll update this post when DLC details drop.
